Civil Society Research Scholarships for the 2009/2010 academic year

The UCD Egali­ta­rian World Initi­a­tive (EWI) in asso­ci­a­tion with the Combat Poverty Agency is offe­ring two Civil Soci­ety Rese­arch Scho­lars­hips for the 2009/2010 acade­mic year.  Four people from a range of commu­nity and volun­tary orga­ni­sa­ti­ons have avai­led of these Scho­lars­hips to date (see www.ucd.ie/ewi)



The Scho­lars­hips are worth 10,000 euro each. They are desig­ned to support people based in non-govern­men­tal orga­ni­sa­ti­ons in Ireland who are acti­vely working for social change on issues rela­ting to poverty, social exclu­sion and social justice.  The Scho­lars­hip provi­des the resour­ces to the orga­ni­sa­tion to allow the acti­vist take rese­arch ‘time out’ and spend three months at UCD within the EWI working on a rese­arch project of their choice.  Closing date for receipt of appli­ca­ti­ons is Monday June 29th 2009.  Further infor­ma­tion and appli­ca­tion forms on www.ucd.ie/ewi   and  www.combat­po­verty.ie/rese­arch  or directly from me.
