Challen­ges of the Inter­na­ti­o­nal Mobi­lity of the Highly Skilled in the XXI Century

The Inter­net Inter­dis­ci­pli­nary Insti­tute (IN3) de la Univer­si­tat Oberta de Cata­lu­nya (UOC) tiene el placer de invi­ta­ros a la confe­ren­cia “Challen­ges of the Inter­na­ti­o­nal Mobi­lity of the Highly Skilled in the XXI Century” que tendrá lugar los días 7 y 8 de febrero de 2013 en el Edifi­cio Medi­a­TIC de Barce­lona.

Esta confe­ren­cia contará con la parti­ci­pa­ción de espe­ci­a­lis­tas en el tema de movi­li­dad: Eleo­nore Kofman (profe­sora de género, migra­ci­o­nes y ciuda­da­nía del Depar­ta­mento de Social Scien­ces de la Univer­si­dad de Midd­le­sex), Adrian Favell (Profe­sor de Soci­o­lo­gía en Scien­ces Po, afili­ado al Centre d’Étu­des Euro­pé­en­nes), Louise Ackers (Law School de la Univer­si­dad de Liver­pool), Caro­lina Cañi­bano (INGE­NIO, Insti­tuto de Gestión de la Inno­va­ción y del Cono­ci­mi­ento, Valen­cia) y Ana M. Gonzá­lez Ramos (IN3, Univer­si­tat Oberta de Cata­lu­nya). Durante la reunión se presen­tarán los resul­ta­dos del proyecto: “Flujos de Recur­sos Huma­nos en Cien­cia y Tecno­lo­gía. Buscando la Exce­len­cia a través del talento” (MICINN CSO2009–09003).

Nos gusta­ría contar con tu parti­ci­pa­ción en las sesi­o­nes para­le­las que estarán centra­das en los sigui­en­tes ejes temá­ti­cos:

-          Movi­li­dad e iden­ti­da­des

-          Género y movi­li­dad

-          Polí­ti­cas de movi­li­dad y fami­lia

-          Polí­ti­cas de movi­li­dad e inno­va­ción

-          Gestión de las rela­ci­o­nes soci­a­les en la diás­pora

-          Movi­li­dad y proce­sos de retorno

-          Élites, inter­na­ci­o­na­li­za­ción de los proce­sos econó­mi­cos y movi­li­dad

Una selec­ción de los mejo­res traba­jos será publi­cada en un número espe­cial de una revista espe­ci­a­li­zada en estu­dios de cien­cia y tecno­lo­gía. Las comu­ni­ca­ci­o­nes tendrán una exten­sión máxima de 6.000 pala­bras y contará con un resu­men de  200 pala­bras y 7 pala­bras clave.

La recep­ción de los traba­jos que estará sujeto a revi­sión por pares se abre ahora.

The Inter­net Inter­dis­ci­pli­nary Insti­tute (IN3) at the Univer­si­tat Oberta de Cata­lu­nya (UOC) is plea­sed to invite you to the Inter­na­ti­o­nal Confe­rence “Challen­ges of the Inter­na­ti­o­nal Mobi­lity of the Highly Skilled in the XXI century”. This will be held the 7th and 8^th of Febru­ary 2013 in Barce­lona, at the Medi­a­TIC Buil­ding.

This confe­rence will be atten­ded by vari­ous speci­a­lists in the field of mobi­lity: Eleo­nore Kofman (Profes­sor of Gender, Migra­tion and Citi­zens­hip Depart­ment of Social Scien­ces at the Univer­sity of Midd­le­sex), Adrian Favell (Profes­sor of Soci­o­logy at Scien­ces Po, Centre d’Étu­des affi­li­a­ted Euro­pé­en­nes), Louise Ackers (Law School of the Univer­sity of Liver­pool), Caro­lina Cañi­bano (INGE­NIO, Insti­tute Inno­va­tion Manage­ment and Know­ledge, Valen­cia) and Ana M. Gonzá­lez Ramos (IN3, Univer­si­tat Oberta de Cata­lu­nya). During the confe­rence we will also present the results of the project: «Flows of Human Resour­ces in Science and Tech­no­logy. Seeking exce­llence through talent »(MICINN CSO2009–09003).

We would like your parti­ci­pa­tion in the para­llel sessi­ons which will focus on the follo­wing themes:

- Mobi­lity and Iden­ti­ties

- Gender and mobi­lity

- Mobi­lity poli­cies and family

- Mobi­lity poli­cies and inno­va­tion

- Manage­ment of social rela­ti­ons in the dias­pora

- Mobi­lity and return proces­ses

- Elites, inter­na­ti­o­na­li­za­tion of econo­mic proces­ses and mobi­lity

 

A selec­tion of the best papers will be publis­hed in a special issue of a jour­nal speci­a­li­zed in science and tech­no­logy studies. Papers will have maxi­mum of 6000 words and will include an abstract of 200 words and 7 key words.

The call for papers has now been laun­ched and will be evalu­a­ted by peer review.
